Craig R. Hammerman is District Manager of Brooklyn Community Board 6 since February 1993. He and his team ensure the effective and efficient delivery of municipal services by engaging, coordinating and successfully advocating for the resources necessary to serve his district. Mr. Hammerman’s leadership is best known in the area of information technology and its applications at the local levels of government. He is regularly consulted by top Administration officials on administrative, fiscal and municipal service management issues and policies. He spearheaded the effort to get Community Boards access to the various New York City government agencies complaint systems and databases that ultimately laid the foundation for the emerging 311 system.
