Associate Professor of Marketing

Dr. Ziamou has been teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as in executive education. She is also a Field Mentor at the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship. Her research interests are in the areas of innovation and design, creativity, new product adoption, technology marketing, and consumer decision-making. Her research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of Product Innovation Management, amongst others. Dr. Ziamou has been invited to present her research on consumers’ response to new products and emerging technological innovations to industry research labs including at AT&T, GTE, Intel, and Unilever.

Fellowship Accomplishments to Date
- Integrated The Rubin Museum of Art into Marketing Management (MKT 3000), required of all business majors. Students were required to complete an assignment designed to develop critical thinking skills and develop innovative ideas on how The Rubin Museum of Art can encourage student art appreciation.
- Reviewed previous studies conducted at The Rubin Museum to identify different customer segments and their motivation/barriers concerning visitation.
- Met with Ms. Marilena Christodoulou, CFO of the Rubin Museum of Art, and Ms. Anne-Marie Nolin, Head of Communications, to discuss the museum’s goals.
- Conducted a series of 16 in-depth interviews, each 45-60 minutes-long, with various segments –i.e., Members, Live Music events attendees, K2 attendees, Talks attendees, Family programs participants. The results of this research project were presented on May 25, 2011 to Rubin Museum of Art staff.
